Redcliffe Aero Club
The
Redcliffe Aero Club began in the 1960s. From very humble beginnings
the Club has grown dramatically.
With over 200 members and a permanent staff
of four flying instructors it is well placed to cater for both the
private pilot and professional students seeking a career in aviation.
Members enjoy a friendly club atmosphere
and participation in many of the social events organised at the
Club. In addition the members have reduced aircraft hire rates and
the use of all the club facilities.
A Training School operates out of the aerodrome,
and for around $50, you can book a Trial Introductory Flight (TIF)
of around 30 minutes, which will put you at the controls of a training
aircraft over Redcliffe. Contact the Club for more information.
Joyflights
in a vintage Gypsy Moth biplane are also offered out of the aerodrome.
One of these flights makes an ideal surprise birthday or anniversary
present. Contact Antique
Airways.
Redcliffe
Skydiving operates out of the aerodrome, offering tandem
parachute jumps that will land you safely on Sutton's Beach. A video
is taken of your jump, which you can view on landing and purchase
if you wish. For more details, contact Redcliffe
Skydiving.
